Prince William showed off his fatherly side on Sunday when he attended a charity match at the annual Gloucester Festival of Polo held in the Beaufort Polo Club in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

In between looking regal on a brilliant, brown stallion, the 34-year-old could be seen playing with his three-year-old second cousin, Mia Tindall, in an adorable display.

The royal looked at ease playing the sport loved by the British.

Mia, who is close with cousins Prince George and little Charlotte, plants a kiss on the future-King’s cheek.

While parents Zara and Mike watched on with glee, the toddler ran about the park, laughing and cuddling the second-in-line.

After Queen Elizabeth II’s great-granddaughter enjoyed a game of chase with Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s dad, she was joined by royal cousins Savannah Phillips, six, and Isla Phillips, five, who’re the daughters of Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn.

The close friends and cousins make the best of the Spring sun as they try their hand at gymnastics on the grass.

“All three of them love each other,” Mike once mused to Hello of his daughter’s bond with her relatives. “They often go riding together on our three Shetlands – Mia has progressed to a proper saddle now. The girls are like peas in a pod and I think that closeness between them will continue for many years.”

After a demonstration from the former rugby player, the trio could be seen attempting handstands and forward rolls on the grass.

Mia and her dad made share a close bond.

Mia is the only child of the charismatic couple. Though they announced they’d be welcoming a sibling for their daughter last year, the pair went through a heartbreaking miscarriage just weeks after revealing they were expecting.

It’s believed the 35-year-old was about four months into her pregnancy.

“Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby,” a spokesperson said a statement made on Christmas Eve 2016.

“At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy.”

Dad Mike says Mia was their “saving grace” throughout the difficult time.

Last month, the couple spoke out publicly for the first time following their tragic news.

“One thing you do learn is how many other people have had to go through the same,” Mike, 38, told the Sunday Times.

“The saving grace for us has been Mia, our daughter who is now 3,” Mike continued.

“However down we feel she will come running up in our faces.”
