On Sunday, the royal couple made the trip to Portsmouth, Hampshire to support Olympic sailor Sir Ben Ainslie and his crew however the event was a wash out thanks to the torrential rain.
Despite the gloomy conditions, Prince William and and The Duchess of Cambridge hung around and mingled with well-wishers.
At one point, Catherine was even overheard telling a fellow mother that her son Prince George, who recently celebrated his second birthday, keeps thinking he is older!
But perhaps the sweetest touch of all were the bespoke navy jumpers with their regal titles emblazoned on the back that the happy couple donned.

Despite the dreary weather, William and Catherine hung around and mingled with well-wishers. Showing off her maternal side, mother-of-two Kate tried her best to cheer up some babies.
Kate wasn’t afraid to pull some funny faces in a bid to make the little ones laugh! Meanwhile, during the outing on Sunday, Catherine met a two-year-old boy called Freddie whose mother Wendy Maxwell revealed to reporters: “She asked him how old he was and he said ‘I’m 3.’ When I said he is only 2, she said, ‘George says that. He thinks that he’s older.’
His and hers! Just in case you didn’t know who they were, the happy couple donned matching bespoke jumpers with their regal titles emblazoned on the back.
It was a much more casual affair for William and Catherine as opposed to recent events, however Catherine’s brunette tresses were perfectly styled in a bouncy ponytail and she finished off her look with elegant pearl drop earrings and gold ballet flats.
The event was cancelled just one hour after William and Catherine’s arrival but the duo were still beaming!
The mother-of-two was also given two mini jackets with Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s names on the back. Catherine reportedly described the gifts as “cute.”
