The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to become traders for the day at a charity event in London.

Prince William and Catherine will be taking part in ICAP’s 23rd annual Charity Day, negotiating deals at the brokerage firm’s headquarters to raise money for their chosen charities.

The royal couple will be taken on a tour of the ICAP offices, before manning the phones and trying out their haggling skills.

Each year, ICAP selects a number of charities to donate one day’s revenue and commissions to.

These include a number of good causes of which Prince William and Duchess Catherine are Patrons: SkillForce, SportsAid and Place2Be.

The Duke and Duchess’ negotiating techniques will be helped by guidance from some more qualified brokers, although Prince William has successfully participated in the Charity Day before.

Five years ago, the heir to the British throne secured a £14 billion deal between two major banks as he manned the phones.

Not bad for a day’s work!
