At 94 years of age, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has sat through enough arduous photocalls in his life to know when one is taking too damn long.
And on Saturday the elderly royal, who’s renowned for having a fiery temper, was clearly at the end of his tether after spending the morning watching the official fly past whiz by from the balcony of Buckingham Palace in London to mark the occasion.
As Prince Philip sat down with a group of war veterans and family members, including grandson Prince William and, son Prince Edward and daughter-in-law Sophie, Countess of Wessex, to pose for a portrait he lashed out at photographer Steve Parsons for taking his sweet, sweet time.
In the footage, an agitated Philip fumes: “Just taking the f** photo! Just take the picture!”
Ever the professional, Steve quickly obliges and politely asks, “eyes on me” before snapping the money shot.
The camera then pans to father-of-two, Prince William, who can be seen having a cheeky chuckle.
While we’re not too sure what The Queen would have to say about her husband’s very public spat, one is very impressed with the Duke’s grasp of the, er, more common words of the English language.
