On Saturday’s annual Trooping the Colour festivities, all eyes were on one little prince who made his grand debut on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Dressed in an adorable white shirt with blue embroidery accompanied by little blue shorts, Prince Louis was the picture of cuteness as he waved frantically as the flypast flew over.
But, over the weekend, royal watchers noticed something particularly sweet about his outfit that made our hearts melt.
It turns out the blue and white ensemble had already been worn by Prince Harry way back in 1986 at that year’s Trooping the Colour celebrations.
Looking back at the photos of a two year-old Prince Harry being held by his doting aunt Princess Anne, the resemblance between Prince Louis and his uncle is astounding!
Prince William also wore the same ensemble for a trip to Balmoral in 1984 when he was two years-old, so it’s safe to say that Duchess Catherine isn’t the only royal who knows how to recycle their wardrobe.

While his older brother George is likely to become King one day, Prince Louis will have less responsibility than his siblings and will therefore have more freedom to pursue his own projects. Prince Harry has done just that with his passion projects including the Invictus Games and his charity Sentebale being his primary focus now he is no longer serving in the armed forces.

Seeing Prince Louis dressed in his uncle’s hand-me-downs also puts those rumours of a royal feud to bed.
According to a royal report from The Sun, both Duchess Catherine and Duchess Meghan have been calming influences on their husbands and the brothers’ relationship is much better now that the household have been split.
“Things did get quite bad last year, but I think a bit of distance between the two brothers both personally and professionally has helped,” says royal correspondent Emily Andrews.

In a sweet nod to Duchess Meghan, Duchess Catherine re-wore the pale yellow Philip Treacy hat that she wore to Harry and Meghan’s wedding last May. Meanwhile, Duchess Camilla wore the same mint green dress and coat last year at Royal Ascot and also at a garden party celebrating Prince Charles’s 70th birthday.
