Seeing Prince Harry with his rumoured fiance Meghan Markle gets us pretty excited.
But for some reason, knowing Prince Harry is hanging out with Michelle Obama and Barack Obama makes us squeal with delight.
The British royal arrived in Chicago yesterday to take part in the Obama Foundation’s inaugural summit.
The couple’s charity aims to inspire and empower the youth of America – a mantra that shines in Prince Harry’s philanthropic work.
Harry was at his humanitarian best, joining up with his unofficial BFF Michelle Obama, where they decided to sprinkle a little joy around one very lucky Chicago High School.
According to People the duo hung out with about 20 students at Hyde Park Academy, which is across the road from where the Obama Presidential Centre will be built.
Caroline Adler Morales, the former first lady’s communications director, spoke of the 44th President’s incredible new initiative.
“The warm and wide-ranging conversation, lasting over an hour, covered how the Obama Presidential Center will showcase the South Side of Chicago for a global audience, the importance of young people staying inspired and hopeful, and the transformative power of students using their voices to change the world,” she said.
Prince Harry will join forces with Grammy award-winning musician Chance The Rapper and American activist Dolores Huerta as the headliners for the Obamas’ event.
The 33-year-old has a very close bond to the Obamas.
Just last month, Barack dropped by Harry’s Invictus Games in Toronto, while Michelle has done countless work with the red-haired royal.
And who could forget when the beloved America couple dropped by Kate and Wills’ place – where the former First Lady shared a stunning story about Harry and his nephew Prince George.
“I have to say the most precious thing, if you haven’t already fallen in love with him, is to see him with his nephew,” Michelle recounted.
Speaking of the evening in which she and her husband met Harry as well as the Duke and Duchess at their Kensington Palace residence, she quoted Prince George who asked the royal, “Uncle Harry, why are you so quiet? Why are you so quiet?'”
Harry then piped up, calling the moment “so embarrassing.” He explained that George noticed that he was on his “best behaviour” as he is “normally throwing him around the room and stuff.”
“And he didn’t understand what is wrong with you,” the First Lady said to Harry.
“He’s got a pretty good uncle over here.”
