During the outing, the former military man spoke passionately about the importance of mental health.

“Getting back your mental as well as your physical fitness is a really important thing. One of the biggest struggles is accepting that there is a problem in the first place,” the 32-year-old explained.

The UK charity helps veterans recover from depression, anxiety, PTSD, alcohol addiction and stress which they may suffer as a result of serving in the armed forces.

As he chatted with some of the patients at the centre, the royal admitted having a dark sense of humour helps you get through the tough times.

Prince Harry admitted serving in the army gave him a dark sense of humour, which helped him cope with the confronting things he came up against.

“As you say, once you’ve served, there’s that dark sense of humour. A lot of civilians don’t get it and actually it can be frowned upon sometimes, but to individuals like you, and the rest of them, without it you can’t function at all – it’s got to be part of the recovery process,” Harry said.

Meanwhile Harry’s other half, Meghan Markle, has also embarked on her own crusade on an issue close to her heart.

According to US Weekly, the Suits star has just wrapped up a work trip to India on behalf of World Vision to campaign for disadvantaged women’s rights.

“Getting back your mental as well as your physical fitness is a really important thing,” the 32-year-old explained at the event.

The report reveals the 35-year-old, who is a proud ambassador for World Vision, touched down in Delhi on January 17 to begin the mission.

“Meghan had been planning this [for the past eight months], compiling her own research and helping set the agenda for the trip,” a source explained.
