Prince Harry has touched down in London after a whirlwind trip to Rome to play in a charity polo tournament for his charity Sentebale.
And for someone with such a high profile, you’d expect him to take a private jet, right? Surely not a British Airways flight…
But one lucky passenger had the shock of her life when she spotted the Duke of Sussex on her plane and even snagged a few cheeky photos.
According to HELLO!, the eagle-eyed royal fan spotted Prince Harry sitting in first class next to his personal protection officer, and wrote on Facebook detailing the experience.
“This morning leaving Rome I got up to use the bathroom and I had to wait. As I’m standing there, I look over and see a guy who looks like Prince Harry. And he has a wedding ring on and looks very tired. The guy next to him looks like security and is glaring at me. Finally my brain clicks and I realise, it is Prince Harry on the way back to London from Rome. He was at a polo tournament.”
And ever the gentleman, the fan added that the Duke of Sussex “politely smiled and said hi” when he realised he’d been spotted.
“I tried to get a photo as he got off the plane. I didn’t want to harass him and felt bad taking one, but it isn’t every day you see him!” Amy added: “He thanked the first class crew and pilot before getting off the plane.”
He may look tired, but Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are so besotted with their newborn son.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Johnny Hornby, Chairman of Sentebale said, “You can tell what an incredible affinity he has for children. He is a magnet for children. I didn’t think he could have appreciated children more than he did before, but I have seen a whole new involvement with them now that he is a father.”
Little Archie has had a few visitors recently including Meghan’s pals Jessica Mulroney and Serena Williams as well as Harry’s polo buddy Nacho Figueras.
Hornby added, “Nacho met little Archie last week and said that the Duke couldn’t take his eyes off of him — nor his hands. The two of them are just in a state of sheer delight over this birth.”

Nacho also spoke to PEOPLE about Harry’s new life as a dad.
“Being a father always changes you. He seems to be very, very happy. I think this is a very exciting part of his life. He was ready for it and I think he’s loving it.”
The Argentinian polo star also posted a moving tribute to Harry on his own Instagram page.
“I have been fortunate enough to spend enough time over the years to learn and understand the man he really is, a kind, generous, compassionate person who is constantly thinking about how to make the world a better place.”
“I see him do that over and over again and it is truly inspiring. I am honored to be your friend and let’s keep fighting because if we all fight together love always wins.”
Seeing all the pics of Harry at the polo made us think how much has changed in just one year.
During the charity polo match for the Sentebale last year, the then-newly minted Duchess of Sussex presented her husband and his teammates the winning trophy and shared a sweet kiss with her husband for all to see.
Now that the Sussexes are a family of three, we hope Archie will make his polo debut in 2020!
