It was an incident that Prince Harry would rather forget, but the 30-year-old has spoken openly and honestly about the pictures that emerged around the world during August 2012 when he was partying in Las Vegas.
The young royal’s privacy was invaded when the images were published and while many publications — including The Weekly — refused to publish the pictures in question, countless others did, meaning they were quickly seen by millions of people.
Harry, who is on the cover of Man of the World, told the magazine that “it was probably a classic case of me being too much Army and not enough prince”.
“It’s a simple case of that,” the fourth in line to the throne said.
In an interview last year Harry said he had let many people down.
“At the end of the day I probably let myself down [in Vegas], I let my family down, I let other people down,” Harry said.
“But I was in a private area and there should be a certain amount of privacy that one should expect. Back at home all my close friends rallied around me and were great.”
Following the incident, Harry was deployed to Afghanistan.
