It’s no secret that Prince Harry and his wife, soon-to-be mum Duchess Meghan, are more suited to a quieter country life.

In fact, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are moving from the hustle and bustle of London life to the slower-paced Frogmore House estate located in Windsor.

But their lesser known home, in which they enjoy some serious downtime, is the $AUD4.4 million farmhouse in the Cotswolds.

While we’ve been privy to the beauty of their Windsor residence, it’s only now their stunning rented farmhouse has been revealed to the world.

And already their country getaway, where they have been said to spend a lot of their time, has reportedly had a flurry of superstar visitors including the Clooneys – Amal and George, Priyanka Chopra and her new husband Nick Jonas and Serena Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian.

According to The Sun, which was the first to reveal the beautiful home, Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland has already visited the sprawling country estate, which spans over four acres.

A source told The Sun: “It’s a fabulous place with stunning views and extraordinarily private.”

“It’s set in a small bowl of beautiful countryside so is not overlooked in any way.”

“Meghan adores the area. She and Harry love walking the dogs there, and they can entertain their friends in complete solitude.”

The couple started renting the home in May 2018, just before their historic nuptials.

Dating back to the 18th Century, the house has four bedrooms and includes an attached barn that has two kitchens – on the “upper” and “lower” floors.

And if you didn’t think the stone and surrounding greenery was beautiful enough, it boasts spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows.

Guests, such as their aforementioned A-list friends, are able to stay on the property in a two-bedroom cottage – how luxurious!

While Harry and Meghan certainly spend a lot of their time there, they are currently overseeing renovations of their Frogmore home – which they hope to have ready by the time their first baby is born this year.

The exciting developments were announced in October by Kensington Palace in an official statement, which read: “Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses’ and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate.”

The sprawling residence, which was gifted to the couple from The Queen, sits within the private Home Park and looks out onto the stunning grounds of Frogmore House.

Indeed, the sacred grounds of Frogmore hold a special place in Meghan and Harry.

In December 2017, the couple’s breathtaking engagement shoot were captured by renowned fashion snapper Alexi Lubomirski at Frogmore House.

Then in May 2018, the royal love birds returned to Windsor for their wedding at St George’s Chapel followed by reception celebrations at Frogmore House.

The home boasts a whopping 10 bedrooms and it’s believed the duo will be adding a gym, yoga studio and baby nursery during their overhaul.

Perhaps the biggest draw card behind their decision to leave London is just how private the grounds are.

“It’s much more private than Kensington Palace. The Queen would put on her wellies and walk her dogs there. Harry and Meghan can walk their dogs, go anywhere in the park freely,” The Queen’s former chef Darren McGrady told Hello!magazine.
