Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might have only just settled in their new Windsor digs of Frogmore Cottage, but they’re already making quite an impression on their neighbours, it seems.
And the new parents to baby Archie are keen to keep things peaceful when it comes to their relationships with locals – especially considering what they’ve just said about recent allegations against them.
For context, a story from The Sun was published earlier in July claiming that surrounding residents of their home had been issued with ‘rules’ about the amount of contact they should have with the two royals, who moved into Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate in March.
These so-called ‘commandments’ reportedly implored of neighbours: “Don’t approach or instigate conversation if you see the Royal couple.”
Another stated: “Don’t pet or stroke their dogs, even if they come over to you”.
Another reportedly requested: “Don’t ask to see baby Archie or offer to babysit”.
However, it seems there’s a lot more to the story than that.
Meghan and Harry have broken their silence on a recent allegation about their new residence in Windsor.
(Getty)In a statement released by Buckingham Palace, the royal couple have cleared things up: “The Duke and Duchess didn’t request this, didn’t know about it, and had nothing to do with the content or guidance offered,” it read.
And in The Sun‘s story, Buckingham Palace insisted the request had come from an “overly protective palace official”.
So whether or not the neighbours received such commands, it seems Harry and Meghan certainly weren’t aware of it, and are hoping to keep things peaceful in their new home.
Given the amount of media attention they already garner without stepping out in public, we can’t really say we blame them either.
It seems the new parents are enjoying keeping things quiet when it comes to their private lives.

In fact, their pair have even broken away from royal traditions the world had come to know in order to do this, opting out of the very public hospital steps photo call following the birth of the Royal Baby.
And for Archie’s christening in early July, the new parents again kept the details largely private, sharing just two official images from inside the ceremony.
They have also chosen to keep the identities of Archie’s godparents under wraps.

With this in mind, Windsor locals would be well-versed in knowing about Harry and Meghan’s preference for privacy – no ‘commandments’ necessary!
The royal pair will no doubt be enjoying their new home nestled in the English town.
The cottage underwent extensive renovations following the birth of baby Archie, with it being understood the house was updated to include five bedrooms. The garden was also re-landscaped.
