The honouree Aussie and Kiwi is about to wrap up his New Zealand tour, but not before the famous red-haired Prince chatted about his love life.
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror the young royal spilled the beans on where he is at, romantically.
In a rare glimpse into his personal life, Harry shared he was “cool” being single. Funnily, the 30-year-old bachelor had been compared to the ever-single Bridget Jones.
“Bridget Jones? Where’s that come from? Because I write my own diary or because I don’t have a girlfriend?” he laughed off, adding, “Bridget Jones? That’s sad. No, for me, it’s good.”
“I’m very happy not having a girlfriend. It’s not a case of anything… I’m not, sort of, looking. It’s cool.”
Harry has been single since his split a year ago from actress Cressida Bonas and has previously dated Chelsy Davy.
It’s clear the 30-year-old is happy with his life now but there is no doubt the importance of family, which was instilled to him by his mother, Diana.
The charming Prince was overjoyed by older brother William’s touching tribute to their late mother by naming his daughter Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
Two weeks later, Harry has received another reminder of the incredible woman. While meeting with well-wishers and fans on Saturday, one lady gave him a large poster of the 36-year-old. It was clear that Harry was touched by the kind gesture.
Prince Harry lost his mother at the tender age of 12, and has cited the army as a source of strength and stability.
“I put my hand up, as I said to the kids today, you can make bad choices, some severe, some not so severe. Without a doubt, [the military] does keep you out of trouble,” he said.
“You can make bad choices in life, but it’s how you recover from those and which path you end up taking.”
The military has been such a guiding force in Harry’s life, that the royal uncle would highly recommend his niece and nephew to join the armed forces when of age.
“I would definitely encourage George, and Charlotte if she wants, to have some sort of involvement in the Armed Forces, guaranteed,” he said. “It’s done me no harm, just good and it’s the same for William.
“And I know that William and Catherine would probably echo that as well, depending on the situation for them in those years to come.”
Now that Prince Harry has ended his time with the army, he’ll be able to devote more time into his royal duties and embracing his beloved role of uncle, offering George and Charlotte this piece of sound advice:
“As an uncle, you know, ‘Enjoy the role, because at first it’s just pressure, pressure, pressure,’ ” he said.
