Prince Harry politely turned down a mother’s request for him to kiss her baby during a community visit on Tuesday.
But in true prince form, the 31-year-old had a super sweet reason for declining. He didn’t want to make her cry!
“You don’t want a kiss from me because then you’ll cry won’t you,” Harry told the baby.
He then turned to the mother and noted, “You never know with kids that’s the thing, she starts crying then you know…”
Harry was a hit with the kids in Wigan!
Understanding his reasons, the mother said, “It looks bad,” which Harry concurred.
That wasn’t the only kiss the charming royal turned down on the day. An eager fan asked, “May I give you a kiss sir?”

Harry turned her down and gave her a polite handshake instead.
The charitable prince had a busy day touring the town’s various projects that use sports to promote social development.
