The Duke of Sussex became friends with Jules while he trained for the South Pole six years ago, while he was a solider.

According to a report by The Mirror, the two men โ€œhit it offโ€ straight away and developed a โ€œmutualโ€ respect for each other.

The report revealed Harry sent a private note to the funeral of his old friend, and according to their source, the death had come as a โ€œreal shockโ€ to him.

โ€œHarry and Jules hit it off from the moment they met. Jules helped to train Harry for the polar world,โ€ the source said.

According to another report from Hello!, Jules was found dead on August 5 and was cremated in Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire.

The date of the tragic death aligns with when it is believed Prince Harry was heading to Ibiza with wife Meghan and son Archie for the Duchess of Sussexโ€™s 38th birthday celebrations.

It is understood the trio returned back to the UK on 12 August before heading to Nice, France for a summer break shortly after.

Weโ€™re thinking of the Prince and Julesโ€™ family at what must be an incredibly difficult time.

Our hearts go out to those who were affected by the 38-year-oldโ€™s passing.
