Mary and Kate wannabes get ready — the world’s most eligible prince could be heading Down Under in October to make your royal dreams come true.
Prince Harry is expected to visit Australia as guest of honour at the Navy’s centenary fleet gala in Sydney Harbour on October 3.
Government sources told the Daily Telegraph that the Royal Australian Navy had requested a royal visitor for the celebration and had been told Harry was the most likely to attend.
“We will achieve royal patronage but the palace will not announce the name until much closer to the event,” a defence insider said.
Buckingham Palace has reportedly told the Navy that Harry’s presence would depend on his military commitments and security concerns.
St James’s Palace has refused to confirm or deny the trip, saying it never comments on royal visits so far in advance.
Harry last visited Australia in his gap year in 2003, when he spent several weeks working on a Queensland sheep station.
