As they arrived at Edinburgh Castle, the newly-engaged duo made the effort to stop and chat happily with members of the public and a number of flag waving fans who waited for them on the esplanade outside the iconic location.

At one point, Meghan — who opted for a (very appropriate!) Burberry tartan coat and trousers by Veronica Beard for the day’s festivities — was asked about her upcoming bachelorette bash. And while she’s unsure of the exact plans her friends have set in place, it “is sorted,” she told the crowd of eager well-wishers.

“We asked them what they were doing for their stag and hen dos,” Tom Martin, 30, told People. “Meghan said, ‘I’m not sure — it’s sorted but it will be fun.'”

“Harry said he didn’t know. I’m sure William’s got something up his sleeve,” Tom added.

Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan Markle, 36, took a trip to Scotland on Tuesday — their first official visit to the region as a couple.

The duo, who have become known for their beautiful displays of affection, could barely keep their hands to themselves.

The look of love!

We just can’t get enough this photo, which shows Prince Harry shaking the hand of a little girl during the walkabout outside Edinburgh Castle.

The duchess-to-be, an animal lover, was pictured giving a particularly lucky pooch lots of attention.

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, also met with a tiny horse on their visit to the capital — an adorable Shetland pony named Cruachan, the regimental mascot of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

As seen in video shared by Kensington Palace, Cruachan — who was perhaps overwhelmed by meeting royalty — tried at one stage to take a swipe at Harry’s hand. Luckily, the beloved royal managed to pull his hand away just in time, before playfully reprimanding the pony.

The couple, who only have three months to go before their royal wedding, laughed off the cheeky encounter — after all, it was incredibly cute! — before learning more about organisations that work in the local community and nationwide, and celebrating youth in the Scottish Year of Young People 2018.

And the cheeky thing tried to take a nibble on the ginger-haired prince.

The couple couldn’t help but laugh at the close call!

Their visit comes after it was revealed that Meghan has been quietly visiting Grenfell Tower fire victims and other charitable organisations, in an efforts to get to know the charity sector.

The former Suits actress has been praised by those who were affected by the fire which killed 71 people, as one told The Mirror: “It means so much. She has a special place in our hearts.”

On one of her visits, the duchess-to-be reportedly went to the Al Manaar community mosque, which is close to the remains of Grenfell Tower in West London. She made the visit on her own but was guarded by a royal protection officer and one of the prince’s aides.

The visits will undoubtedly remind royal enthusiasts of the late Princess Diana, who also made secret trips to speak with the homeless and visit them in shelters at night when she lived at Kensington Palace.

Meghan has echoed her late mother-in-law Princess Diana’s charity work by making secret visits to comfort survivors and relatives of victims who lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower disaster.

Harry and Meghan will tie the knot on Saturday, May 19 at Windsor Castle.

As Kensington Palace recently announced, following the ceremony, the newlyweds will undertake a tour of the town as their first trip as man and wife to greet well-wishers from all over the world who have come to see them.

It will no doubt remind fans of similar scenes that played out during Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s 2011 wedding.

Following the carriage procession, guests will gather inside St. George’s Hall for a day-time reception.

In the evening, Harry and Meghan will mingle with their VIP guests at a private reception hosted by the groom’s father Prince Charles.

According to sources speaking to the Daily Mail, it’s believed the royal wedding will be divided into two segments – an informal dinner for 350 and a reception drinks.

While there’s no word yet on the guest list, the palace promised they’ll share more details in due course.
