The royal baby was not snapped at the park by the media, but reports suggest the little prince went to Frank Kitts Park, where he enjoyed some of his nanny’s ice cream.

Mr Freeze icecream caravan owner Barry Ludlow told stuff.co.nz he recognised the nanny and the baby.

“There were plenty of people walking around the waterfront, there were children everywhere, but I don’t think anyone saw them. They didn’t look out of place at all.”

Mr Ludlow said he sold a 99c vanilla ice-cream in a cone topped with a Cadbury Flake to Prince George’s nanny, who was accompanied by two bodyguards.

Stuff.co.nz reported that Ms Borallo ate the icecream and gave the third in line for the throne a taste before they sat in the park for about 10 minutes.
