Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan may have dominated the headlines this week with their decision to step back from royal duties, but we mustn’t forget about the Cambridge clan!
While there hasn’t been any official news from Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s side of the fence, there was a detail in the latest photo of Prince George that had us thinking he definitely takes after his mum’s side of the family.

(Getty)Royal fans were delighted when the Palace dropped a stunning image of the Queen and her three heirs at the beginning of the year.
Taken in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace, the photograph shows the Queen along with Prince Charles, Prince William and six-year-old Prince George smiling at the camera.
The eldest Cambridge looked very smart in his white shirt and tartan trousers, but his cheeky close-mouthed smile was very reminiscent of a photo from the Middleton family archives of a young Duchess Catherine.
A new official portrait of the Queen and her heirs was dropped at the beginning of the year.

From the face shape to the cheeky grin, it’s clear that George has inherited those Middleton genes.
Even Prince William remarked on the similarities between the pair when George was a newborn, commenting “He’s got her [Duchess Catherine’s] looks, thankfully,” when the couple left the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital back in 2013.
The resemblance is uncanny!

The four-year-old princess has been compared not just to her late grandmother Princess Diana, but also to her dad’s cousin, Lady Kitty Spencer, who frequently takes to Instagram to share her own throwback photos.
Charlotte has also been labelled as a dead ringer for her dad Prince William, and even her beloved Gan Gan, Queen Elizabeth.

The last time we saw the young royals out and about was for the traditional church service at St Mary Magdalene’s Church in Sandringham, when George and Charlotte made their official royal Christmas debut.
Dressed in a smart jacket and trousers, Prince George has officially upgraded from only wearing shorts, whilst Princess Charlotte adorably twinned with her mother in a forest green coat.
The two eldest Cambridge children have since returned to school at Thomas’s Battersea in West London, marking an end to the Christmas holidays.
