Called Under the Beam, the tome promises to delve deep on Fred’s life as a royal, father-of-four, husband and humanitarian.

Over the weekend, Fred got his hands on the very first copy of the book, which is set for release next year.

Teasing a series of never-before-seen photos, taken by Kongehuset og Franne Voigt, on the Danish Royal Family’s Instagam account fans were given a glimpse into Fred’s world.

In one photo, a shirtless Fred looks like a retro movie star as he takes the wheel of a vintage sports car.

In another snap, Fred and his wife of 13 years share a warm embrace in front of the Palace before heading off to a black-tie event.

The 49-year-old received the very first copy of the book on Friday.

But it’s the candid black-and-white family shot with the proud parents and their four children Prince Christian, Princess Isabella and twins Prince Vincent and Josephine, that truly warms our heart.

Alognside the newly released images, the palace explained: “HRH The Crown Prince received the first copy of the book Under the Beam on Friday.”

“A portrait of Crown Prince Frederik. The book was written by author Jens Andersen on the occasion of the Crown Prince’s 50th birthday in 2018 and is published on Gyldendal’s publishing house on Wednesday. Here are selected pictures from the book.”

While it’s not set to be released until next year to coincide with his 50th birthday in May, something tells us it’s going to be a royally-good best-seller.

Traditionally, royal family members steer clear of over-promoting themselves and rarely give interviews with the media or write books.

But the times are rapidly changing, and not only do the British and European royal families have their own social media accounts but they also use their profiles to help boost causes close to their heart.

The most famous royal memoir was Princess Diana’s explosive tell-all, Diana: Her True Story, which the Princess secretly helped write with her biographer Andrew Morton in 1992.
