The news comes just days after hearing that the Crown Prince of Denmark and his wife Crown Princess Mary will be coming to Australia for the upcoming Invictus Games.

Here’s who else will be at the Invictus Games in Sydney this year.

The Prince’s surgery was a success and he’s now resting at home with his wife and their kids: Prince Christian, 12, Princess Isabella, 11, and seven-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.

The palace explained that the operation, that took place on Sunday, was needed to correct a slipped disc.

Thankfully it all went smoothly, and Frederik was discharged the following day from the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.

The heir-to-the-throne is now recovering at home, and will resume his royal duties in the coming weeks.

In May, Prince Frederik turned 50.

The father-of-four has spoken up about his back pain in the past.

Back in May, Prince Frederik, who celebrated turning 50 by participating in the Royal Run, said, “I have had a few back problems lately which have stopped me from going running as I would like to.”

Rest up Prince Frederik!
