If his career as King of England doesn’t work out, Prince Charles has proven he has the making of an excellent TV weatherman.
The 63-year-old heir to the throne presented a near-flawless live bulletin for BBC Scotland yesterday.
Wearing his trademark double-breasted suit, Charles didn’t miss a beat in the broadcast, even when producers played a trick on him.
Instead of announcing the weather in Scotland’s major cities, the script Charles was given listed the conditions at his many royal residences, including Balmoral and Dumfries House.

Charles exclaimed ‘Aha!’ when he realised what was happening, but continued with the broadcast until the end, the picture of professionalism.
His wife Camilla’s attempt was rather less successful. The Duchess of Cornwall stumbled over her lines and seemed rather overwhelmed by the whole experience.
Charles and Camilla were visiting the television station to celebrate 60 years of the BBC in Scotland.
