The Royal Couple are on a four day visit to the country as part of their Royal tour through Colombia and Mexico.

The Duchess of Cornwall was out of action as they visited Campeche in southeast Mexico on the second day of the royal tour as she was feeling unwell. So unfortunately Camilla missed out on the glorious site of the Prince of Wales tapping his feet and waving a scarf in the air with one hand on his hip as he joined in with locals performing the traditional dance.

Fortunately though, she was well enough to take part in the country’s Día de Muertos celebrations which translated means: Day of the Dead. The celebrations take place the day after Halloween and see locals dress in elaborate costumes with their faces painted as skulls, as families commemorate their loved ones who have died.

The Duchess of Cornwall unfortunately missed out on seeing Charles’ dancing as she was out of action on the second day of the royal tour due to health reasons.
Camilla did get to witness local dancers the day before though as she and Charles observed the Ballet Folkloric in Monterrey, Mexico.
Prince Charles and Camilla also joined in with the country’s Día de Muertos celebrations which translated means: Day of the Dead.

Camilla and Charles also tried their hand at cooking the local cuisine as they had a lesson in how to make empanadas with local chefs at the Pasty Museum in Real del Monte on the Day of the Dead.
The Prince went for a punt on a rickety river boat as he toured a local floating farm outside Mexico City.
As he posed for photographers at the ancient archaeological site of Edzna Maya, the Prince joked that he was “one old ruin in front of another!”
Prince Charles climbed some of the steps of the Maya ruin which has a temple atop the imposing structure.
