Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are no strangers to a colourful royal tour.
In fact, the pair have proved time and time again that they’re the ultimate pros when it comes to making the most out of any and every situation, no matter what location is thrown their way.
Now, the pair have just announced the next big trip on their agenda, and it’s going to hit very close to home.
In an exciting new reveal, it has been announced that Charles and Camilla will visit New Zealand in November.
The pair are visiting Australia’s neighbouring country following an official request from the New Zealand government, and it will mark the third time they’ve visited the scenic location.
In a statement, Kiwi Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said: “I am delighted to welcome Their Royal Highnesses back to New Zealand.”
“I know that the couple have greatly enjoyed New Zealanders’ warm hospitality and manaakitanga when they visited previously.”
Manaakitanga is a Māori word meaning “hospitality” and “kindness”.
Continuing to explain her anticipation for the visit to come, Ardern explained: “The Prince of Wales has been a strong advocate for the environment, conservation and sustainability for many years.”
“This visit will provide opportunities for him to engage with New Zealanders on those subjects, and to learn more about the ways in which New Zealand is preparing for the future.”
Charles does a lot of work through his role as a royal to aid conservation and environmental efforts, so we’re sure this trip will be a particularly poignant one for the royal.
Charles and Camilla last visited New Zealand in November 2015, where they travelled to a number of New Zealand cities.
Their trip, which will have taken place exactly four years ago when they return this year, was filled with colourful moments.
While visiting the New Zealand city of Nelson, Charles and Camilla enjoyed local delights at the famed Saturday Market held weekly in the coastal location.
The pair stopped to chat with locals, as well as surveying some of the handmade creations.
There was a brief moment of sheer delight when Charles was presented with a jar of Pic’s Peanut Butter, which is made in Nelson.
“He took the jar, gave it a smell and a look of bliss came over his face,” the owner Pic Picot said at the time.
We’re hoping we’ll see some more candid moments like this when the royals return!
The new tour announcement comes as Charles and Camilla start their official summer break together.
It is understood the pair will take time off during the month of August, although where they will spend their holiday together is unknown.
The pair have certainly earned their break – they’ve had a particularly busy July attending local events across the UK.
Just this week, the pair went to the Royal Welsh Show, where they got right into the thick of things by meeting farm animals, getting stuck into a garden and even trying out some local cuisines.
