While the Maldives and Bora Bora have proven to be popular Honeymoon spots for those in the spotlight, it’s predicted Pippa Middleton and James Matthews will take a more humble trip after their wedding on May 20.
The spouses-to-be are said to be planning a romantic escape to the banker’s family estate in the picturesque Scottish highlands.
Local papers report that the newlyweds will spend their first escape as a married couple at the Matthews’ Affric Lodge – a lavish mansion that sits on a 10,000 acre plot just a short drive away from Loch Ness.
With eight bedrooms, a whiskey room, a reading room and countryside views of Loch Affric, the estate would make for a perfect escape with the options to sail and fish.
Following a few days in the highlands, the couple are expected to take a tropical turn and head over to Eden Rock – a luxurious beach resort also owned by the millionaire’s family on the island of St. Barts.
The wedding, set for May 20th at St Marks’s Church in Englefield, will be an intimate 150 guest affair with the reception expected to be held on the grounds of the Middleton Family’s Bucklebury home.
Kensington Palace recently confirmed that Prince George, three, will join the bridal party as a page boy and Princess Charlotte, who will have just turned two ahead of the big day, will be a bridesmaid.
The young royal’s uncle, Prince Harry, will also be in attendance where he is expected to bring his longterm girlfriend, Meghan Markle.
