The Royals are incredibly private about their personal relationships but a new book is set to unveil the beautiful partnership between Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

The new book, Prince Philip: I Know I am Rude, But I Like It: The Royals and the Rest of Us as Seen By Prince Philip, promises to unveil the famous couples’ dynamic.

According to the synopsis, the book will show how the Duke of Edinburgh “‘traipses around’ as a ‘fella who belongs to Mrs Queen’, rather than being ‘professionally qualified in something.’”

Their withstanding relationship is based on their mutual love and respect but also a shared sense of humour, after all Prince Philip is notoriously funny.

These days, the couple are very comfortable in each other’s company, but the Queen’s husband recalls a time when that wasn’t the case.

“You were so shy. I couldn’t get a word out of you,” Philip recalled of his meeting with Elizabeth in 1939.

But it looks like those times have well and truly ended with the Queen’s former private secretary Lord Charteris admitting, “It is not unknown for the Queen to tell the Duke to shut up.”

While former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, was also lucky enough to be privy to the Royal’s private life.

Tony once revealed that he attended a weekend barbeque with couple at Balmoral in Scotland, describing it as “a vivid combination of the intriguing, the surreal and the utterly freaky”.

Apparently Philip was in charge of the cooking, which is very interesting since he is a firm believer that “British women can’t cook” – a statement he made back in 1961 at the Scottish Women’s Institute – while Elizabeth popped on a pair of rubber gloves and washed up!

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip shortly after their engagement in 1947.

With the pair having almost 70 years of marriage under their belts, it’s safe to say that they’re a wonderful inspiration.

“You can take it from me, the Queen has the quality of tolerance in abundance,” Philip joked after 50 years of marriage and 10 years later he laughed that, “the secret of a happy marriage is to have different interests.”

Joking aside it is clear that it is the Prince’s utter devotion to his wife that has been a backbone to their incredible partnership.

“My job first, second and last is never to let the Queen down,” he has sweetly.

With that kind of love, the pair can conquer anything, even new neighbours!

A new reports reveals the royal family is set to rent out the luxury apartments in St James’ Palace – which is a first for the family.

You could live at St. Jame’s Palace (if you have a spare £250,000).

Apartment 29A, a four-bedroom maisonette, with annual rent is estimated to be a majestic £250,000.

If you’re the lucky tenant, you may get the chance to borrow a cup of sugar from your new neighbours Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, or you could pop over to Clarence House and see Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

The rental income will help cover the cost of the Palace renovations. A palace source told the Mail UK: “In theory, anyone can apply but all prospective tenants will be subject to security and background checks.”

So if we all pool our money together… we just may have a royal share house! Hey Prince Philip, can you be in charge of the cooking duties?
