Fashionistas rejoice! Duchess Meghan has made a comeback for the ages, stepping out in her own stunning designs as she launches her brand new clothing collection.
The radiant Duchess made her first official appearance after ending her maternity leave this month, attending an event at Smart Works on Thursday, September 12.
Wearing a crisp white shirt by Misha Nonoo and chic black tailored trousers by Jigsaw, the new mum was the ultimate style icon as she entered the event – and rightly so, she designed the stylish outfit herselff!
Meghan’s new clothing line comes following months of planning and designing with Smart Works, with whom she collaborated with to produce the five-piece capsule workwear collection.
The royal looked ecstatic to finally be launching the oh-so-chic line, which along with the tailored pants and white shirt, features a blazer, a shift dress, and a handbag.
Named Smart Set, the Duchess’ brand new capsule collection was a collaboration with British Fashion giants Jigsaw, John Lewis & Partners, Marks & Spencer, along with Meghan’s close pal and fashion designer Misha Nonoo.
At the colourful event in London, Meghan was seen laughing and smiling with guests.
And in a special touch, the royal decided to accessorise her look with a pair of butterfly earrings that once famously belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
It was clear Meghan was thrilled to be back out and about – even if she was missing baby Archie a little.
According to royal correspondant Roya Nikkah, at one point the Duchess, who was busy chatting to guests, had to stop herself, saying: “I’ve got to get back to the baby, it’s feed time.”
The Duchess also delivered a speech at the event, reiterating her passion for collaborating with empowering women in order to bring each other up.
Explaining her previous passion project, which was launching the Hubb Community Kitchen cookbook Together with women who were affected by the Greenfell Tower Tragedy, Meghan stated: “I am excited to celebrate the launch of another initiative of women supporting women, and communities working together for the greater good.”
“We’ve demonstrated how we can work collectively to empower each other – another layer to this communal success story, that I am so proud to be a part of.”
Meghan also watched a panel of representatives from Smart Works, two of their clients and a patron of the organisation.
The event comes shortly before Meghan jets off to Africa, where she, Harry and baby Archie will partake in their first royal tour as a family of three.

While Meghan’s appearance at the event on Thursday was the first time we’ve seen her in an official capacity since the birth of baby Archie, fans have also been treated to a few fleeting sightings in between.
In August, Meghan took a break from maternity leave to attend The Lion King red carpet premiere alongside her husband Prince Harry.
Wearing a gorgeous black Jason Wu dress, the world revelled in seeing the stylish Duchess make a grand return to the red carpet.
And now that she’s officially back from maternity leave, we’re excited to see more of her stunning outfits!
