As rumours of rifts, strict schedules and team members in tears sweep the globe, there’s no denying Meghan Markle is one of the most watched people in the world right now.
Her every move is monitored with pictures, videos and anecdotes being shared across hundreds of platforms every day, and it seems everyone is eagerly waiting for updates.
Well, everyone except one, apparently.
It turns out Meghan doesn’t indulge in reading the reports about her, with royal sources telling Hello! that she doesn’t read her press and is instead focused on her work.
And with a schedule like hers, we can’t blame her.
The pregnant Duchess has had a rather eventful year following her wedding to Prince Harry in May – from royal tours to lavish evening soirees and more public appearances than one could count.
And through it all, Meghan has remained admirably cool, calm and collected.
In November, it emerged the Duchess and her husband had lost no less than three staff members in six months, fuelling speculation that she was a tough nut to work with.
Most notably, Meghan’s newest recruit, a personal assistant named Melissa, reportedly handed in her notice for her seemingly glamorous gig.
“It’s a real shock. Why would she want to leave such a prestigious job so soon?” An insider told the Daily Mail’s columnist Richard Eden.
What’s more, earlier in December it was revealed “Meghan put a lot of demands on her and it ended up with her in tears,” a source told The Mirror.
The damning allegation came after another shocking report that Meghan left her sister-in-law Kate Middleton extremely upset during a bridesmaid fitting ahead of her royal wedding in May.
According to a report from the UK’s Telegraph, Catherine was reportedly left “in tears” after her daughter Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting for the big event.
And UK outlet The Sun, also claimed tension between the royal sisters-in-law reached boiling point when Kate cautioned Meghan over her strict behaviour towards her staff members, telling her: “That’s unacceptable, they’re my staff and I speak to them.”
A source revealed to the publication: “Her and Kate fell out when she b – – – d Kate’s staff.”

Whether there is certain truth behind these claims remains to be seen, but the palace, who rarely address the royal rumour mill, responded to The Sun‘s story saying: “This never happened”.
And rift or no rift, the royal sisters-in-law still appear chummy at public gatherings.
In November, Kate was asked if she was excited about the arrival of Meghan’s new baby, to which she animatedly replied: “Yeah, absolutely!” before adding: “It’s such a special time to have little kiddies.”

Fans of Meghan have also rallied to support her in light of the reports, with one person taking to Twitter to share their own personal experience with the Duchess.
“She was frequent in the coffee shop I worked in in Toronto and she was always pleasant no matter the time of day even when the place was crazy,” they wrote.
“Stop trying to get clout off Meghan’s name.”
Another fan wrote: “The intensity with which so many people are hating on Meghan Markle is an example of how this world can’t see a woman achieve something out of her league and own it.”
And with the Duchess herself not bothering to read the reports, she’s proved that the phrase ‘out of sight, out of mind’ can bring about some major productivity.
After a whirlwind royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga back in October, the 37-year-old has attended a plethora of events in London.
Just this week Meghan made a surprise appearance at the British Fashion awards where she presented the British Womenswear Designer of the Year award to Claire Waight Keller of Givenchy – the designer of her wedding dress.
As Duchess Meghan took to the stage, she was greeted by a roar of applause from the audience and thanked everyone for celebrating British fashion “in my new home of the UK.”
