Take it from the horses mouth – despite reports, Priyanka Chopra did not visit Meghan Markle and baby Archie, and she wants everyone to know it.
Indeed the 36-year-old actress, who is a long-time pal of Meghan’s was claimed by sources to be visiting Meghan and baby Archie after she was spotted in London with her husband Nick Jonas.
The Sun reported earlier in May that Priyanka was the latest in a slew of A-list visitors to clap eyes on the newborn and its royal mum.
Along with telling the publication that Priyanka had gifted Archie a glitzy item from Tiffany’s, a source said Priyanka and Nick “thought baby Archie was just adorable and Meg is loving her new life.”
The only thing is, none of that was true – and we know this because of one very awkward outing.
After the story was published, Priyanka took to Twitter to clear things up.
“While these are great gift ideas… this story is untrue, and I was actually in town for work,” she wrote.

(Getty)After her Tweet was published, the journalist who originally wrote the story, Emily Andrews, took to her own Twitter to say: “Not quite sure what’s going on with this, but I wouldn’t publish something without having it confirmed. I had three separate sources for this story but if Priyanka says she didn’t visit Meghan & Archie then fair enough…”
A number of people objected to Emily’s Tweet, with one saying: “Maybe.. it’s the sources..”
“The source is out to get you,” wrote another.
What’s more, Priyanka told The Sunday Times over the weekend that the media criticism over Meghan was “really unfortunate”.
She then suggested that the criticism was rooted in an inability for people to accept a biracial woman holding this position within the monarchy,
“Of course it has to do with racism, it’s an obvious reason. But the beauty of Meg is that she’s been herself through all of this,” she told the publication.
“A lot of people got to know her after everything [once she started dating Harry], but I knew her before and she’s the same chick.”
Indeed it certainly seems that way – Meghan and Harry recently launched their own Instagram account, SussexRoyal shortly before the arrival of baby Archie.
The account has become home to sharing the work they and other charities are doing for social change.

The stunning Indian actress continued to speak Meghan’s praises, telling the publication, “Now that she’s got a real platform, she talks about the same things she always did.”
“We spent hours speaking about the difference that influence and dialogue can make to the world before this whole thing happened, so what you see now is authentically her. She’s always been the girl wanting to move the needle.”
Priyanka’s comments come after it was rumoured she and Meghan were in a feud.
In December, rumours were sparked when Meghan didn’t attend her wedding to Nick Jonas, despite Priyanka attending Meghan’s back in May 2018.
Further fuelling the rumour mill, Priyanka did not attend Meghan’s baby shower held in New York City in February.
However, the actress denied the rumours in an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen soon after.
And going by her most recent comments, it certainly seems the pair are undeniably very chummy at present – and that’s straight from the source itself.
