Theyโve been at the centre of media attention for months on end, but now, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are planning to take some much-needed space from the spotlight by taking six weeks off from their royal duties.
In a rare move, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to step back from their royal work in order to spend some time back in Los Angeles, where Meghanโs mum Doria resides.
The unexpected, but understandable news comes right after it was revealed the pair are taking legal action against several British newspapers for various reports written about them.
According to respected royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah, the pair are planning to take a six-week break starting mid-November, where they will allow for baby Archie to spend some time with his grandmother in LA.
It seems the break couldnโt come at a better time for the royals, who wrapped up a 10-day tour of Africa at the beginning of October, which they jam-packed with colourful events.
During the trip, the pair also laid bare the pressure they are currently under after months of relentless media scrutiny and damaging reports.
Opening up to ITV broadcaster Tom Bradby, the pair shared insight into their lives and feelings of pressure for a documentary, called Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, which has aired in the UK and will be shown on Australian screens this week.
According to Bradby, the couple appeared to be โvulnerable and bruisedโ.

In a clip that went viral on Instagram over the weekend, Meghan is seen speaking to Bradby saying that shes โnot really okayโ.
Describing her experience, she explained that going through it while pregnant, and then raising her first child was a โvery real thing to be going through behind the scenesโ.
According to an article for the Sunday Times, Meghan also added to Bradby that she was โtaking it one day at a timeโ and that she and Harry are โexisting, not livingโ.
The new anecdotes about the royals has sparked a viral hashtag #WeLoveYouMeghan as fans rally around the couple in support.

Bradby also added that during his time with the royals that Prince Harry admitted he would like to relocate to Cape Town with his family, leaving behind London as their current base.
However the Prince added that it would be near impossible to do that at the moment.

Harry has even admitted that heโd like to leave London and move to Cape Town with his family.

And as the documentary airs across the UK, and internationally this week, it seems weโll be further reminded of exactly why this is. Stay tuned.
