Since they arrived in California, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven’t been shy about making a quick public appearance here and there – all in the name of some good publicity.
But after the couple turned up seemingly unannounced at a Los Angeles school on August 21 to hand out supplies – with a freelance photographer in tow, despite the private nature of the visit – 39-year-old Meghan has remained at home, opting for video conferences over public outings.
The duchess has limited her appearances to artfully posed photographs while dressed in loose linens or video appearances from the shoulders up, including a recent Zoom chat, in which some fans pointed out the usually thin ex-TV star looked markedly fuller in the face.
This, combined with pictures of Harry, 36, and Meghan leaving a Beverly Hills building that houses a fertility clinic, seemingly clutching an IVF “trigger shot”, has left royal watchers with little choice but to speculate the Sussexes are expecting a brother or sister for their 16-month-old son Archie.

“It’s all starting to stack up rather neatly,” says a palace insider, who asked to remain anonymous.
“They have always wanted two children and the fact of the matter is, time is not on their side, in biological terms.
“They would have begun trying again as soon as it was safe to do so after Archie’s birth.”
The potential pregnancy has come at the perfect time for Meghan and Harry, who recently moved into their $20 million mansion in Montecito, California.
Sources tell Woman’s Day Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland, 64, has moved into their lavish guesthouse to help them raise Archie – and is “more than ready” for another grandchild.

“Meghan feels like she’s got it all,” says a source.
“An adoring husband who waits on her hand and foot, the perfect home and more money than she could ever have imagined rolling in. All they need to complete the picture is another child – and if the rumours are anything to go by, an announcement could be made any day now.
“Sadly however, Meghan will see no need to give the Queen a heads-up – it wouldn’t be a surprise if she’s the last to know!”
