Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is not finished telling her story, hinting at a “tell-all” book detailing her time as a senior working royal.
The royal has very openly been discussing her experiences with British monarchy lately and just this week told The Cut that she found an old diary from before her royal exit.
Meghan fished the tome out of a drawer at Frogmore Cottage, Windsor, where she and Prince Harry used to live in the UK, she revealed.
“You go back and you open drawers and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh. This is what I was writing in my journal there? And here’s all my socks from this time?'” Meghan said.
A source has informed UK magazine The Sun that Meghan documented both her good and bad experiences in the diary as “insurance”.
“Harry and Meghan were told to ignore social media and newspapers but sometimes staff would say to them, ‘so sorry about what was written the other day’, and she would hit the roof.
“She wrote it all in her diary as an insurance policy,” they said.
“If it ever saw the light of day it would surely be dynamite. By the sounds of it, this journal was rediscovered this summer, boxed up and shipped back to Montecito.”
Prince Harry has also finished his own intimate memoir set to be released in the upcoming months, and The Sun source commented, “I’d be very surprised if Meghan wasn’t writing a book.”
It’s also not the first time The Duchess has documented her life as she kept a personal blog, The Tig but was forced to shut down the website after marrying Prince Harry.
But following her departure from the British monarchy in 2020, Meghan has since revealed she did not sign a non-disclosure agreement and is now excited to talk after being so restricted.
“I’ve never had to sign anything that restricts me from talking,” Meghan said.
“I can talk about my whole experience and make a choice not to.”
