In the exposing interview, a no-holds-barred depiction of life in the royal family, Meghan tells Oprah about her concern at the lack of support she had while pregnant with her young son.

“We had in tandem the conversations of how he won’t be given security, she said in the interview.

According to Meghan, there were also multiple conversations about how her child would not have a title, something that wasn’t spoken about with Meghan before.

She also added that Palace aides, raised “concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”

Meghan added that her security concerns only deepened throughout her last few months of pregnancy.

“They were saying they didn’t want him to be a prince, which would be different to protocol, and that he wasn’t going to receive security. This went on for the last few months of our pregnancy,” she explained.

She also added that everyone in Meghan’s life was instructed to say “no comment”.

She initially thought this was to protect her, but this never combated the extremely negative press coverage she consistently recieved.

“It was only when things really started to worsen that I realised I wasn’t being protected but they were willing to lie to protect other members of the family but not me and my husband.”
