Ever since her engagement to Prince Harry was announced earlier this week, all eyes have been trained upon former Suits star Meghan Markle.
Not only have her engagement ring and fashion choices been placed under the microscope – her white coat from Line The Label sold out within minutes of her appearance at a Kensington Palace photo call, while her green shift dress from Italian label PAROSH is set to be reissued as ‘the Meghan’ – but it seems that her facial features are now inspiring plastic surgery trends.
And one feature in particular – namely her nose – has become the most requested of all.
Of course, it seems somewhat unfeasible that an upsurge of plastic surgery requests could be noticed within the space of just a few days, but according to one surgeon, this trend has been bubbling under the radar for a long time now.
“Patients started coming to me about six months ago requesting Meghan Markle’s nose,” New York cosmetic surgeon Stephen T. Greenberg told Allure.
According to Greenberg, the reason Meghan’s nose has proved so popular lies in what he perceives as a minor ‘imperfection’ (speaking honestly, in all our endless dissection of her relationship with Prince Harry, we can’t say we’ve ever thought long and hard about her nose…)
“She has a pretty great nose, but I think the beauty of it is that it isn’t perfect,” Greenberg explains.
“From the profile you can see that she has a very slight dorsal hump that is almost undetectable when looking at her straight on.”
He went on to reveal that even in the days following the official engagement announcement, he’s noticed a spike in requests.
It’s intriguing to note that back in 2016, a mock-up of the ‘world’s most desirable face’ selected the Duchess of Cambridge’s nose as the most desirable; between 2011 and 2013, first spiking in the period immediately following her marriage to Prince William…
There you have it – it’s all in the nose apparently.
