Carl Philip, Sofia and little bub have returned home to Drottningholm Palace, but not before sharing a snap of their now-family-of-three.

“We’re all feeling good and looking forward to time together,” they captioned the sweet snap.

The Swedish royal palace shared the photo of the new parents and their little Prince, revealing that the trio are “doing well” and that mum and dad are “looking forward” to bonding with their child.

Sofia and her husband are yet to announce their son’s name, who appeared to be content sleeping in his car seat.

The little tyke was born at 6:25pm at the Danderyd hospital in Stockholm and weighed about 3.5kg.

In a press conference following the birth of his son, Carl Philip proudly revealed how big his boy is and noted he was in the delivery room when his wife gave birth.

Just hours after he became a dad, the Prince spoke to reporters in a press conference at the Stockholm-based hospital.

When asked if he had cried during the birth, he quipped, “Yes, actually. Of course. Couldn’t stop.”

“For me and my wife, this is obviously a great day with a lot of emotion,” he said.

“Words cannot describe.”

No doubt the new arrival will fit in nicely with Princess Victoria’s kid, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar
