Meet Lady Amelia Windsor, the stylish royal you’ve never even heard of

A second-year French and Italian student at the prestigious University of Edinburgh, Amelia also dabbles with modelling on the side and is signed to Storm Models, the agency which represents icons Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne.

The 21-year-old has an outspoken passion for fashion, having recently embarked on a coveted internship with Chanel in Paris.

Speaking of her time spent with the iconic label, Amelia said, “It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. To see how much goes into making a fashion business is quite exciting.”

In an interview with Miss Vogue, she reveals her plans to spend a year studying abroad in the French capital and Rome, two cities iconic for their style influence.

“I would love to make a contribution to any aspect behind the creative process,” she says. “On my year abroad, I want to really further my understanding of every aspect of a fashion house: from the making of the fabrics to the production of a catwalk show.”

And when she’s not travelling the globe in style – Amelia recently returned from a trip to Morocco, with New York City next on her list – you’ll find her sitting front row at the latest runway shows.

“Chanel, Alexander Wang, Molly Goddard, Peter Pilotto, Erdem, Burberry and Valentino. The list really does go on,” Amelia says of her favourite designers.

Perhaps you’re wondering why you’ve never noticed the royal beauty before. This would be due to the fact that, until recently, Amelia had kept a reasonably low profile.

The young royal stepped into the spotlight by gracing the April cover of the British high society magazine, Tatler, where she was named by the publication as “the most beautiful member of the royal family.”

The last time a member of the royal family appeared on the cover of Tatler magazine was 2008, when Princess Eugenie was photographed to mark the momentous occasion of her 18th birthday.
