While millions worldwide adored Diana for her caring nature, strong family values and sheer beauty, the now 25-year-old Kitty loved her for being her favourite Aunt.

Speaking candidly in a tell-all interview with Vanity Fair, the blonde beauty, whose father Charles Spencer is the late royal’s brother, reminisced on her “special” memories with Diana.

“I was so young [when Diana was alive]. There are only a few memories, but special memories and happy memories, and I’m so lucky to have those,” she mused.

Kitty was just a youngster when her beloved relative tragically passed away.

Kitty, a model, was born in the United Kingdom but grew up in South Africa with her two sisters and brother following her parents’ divorce.

Although a member of the royal family, the move to Cape Town ensured an upbringing away from the media spotlight, but that was, of course, until she moved back to London in recent years.

“I’ve never had to sacrifice one or the other because my mother’s in South Africa and my father’s [in London], so I’ve always gone between the two.”

“Now, I love being in London and it makes sense to be here, and it’s a really exciting place to be in your 20s. South Africa’s such an amazing place to grow up and have a childhood but, right now, I… really wanted a big city.”

Prince Harry’s cousin went on: “Obviously, I’ve always felt tied to London and I’ve always felt British and a lot of my family’s here, too, so it was a logical step, one I knew I was always going to take.”

Kitty attended both the University of Cape Town and Regent’s University London, where she received a master’s degree in luxury-brand management.

For now though, her focus is on her charity work with Centrepoint, an organisation that supports the young homeless community.

She will show her support for the charity on November 10 at a Kensington Palace fundraiser alongside Prince William, who is a patron.

“I have a relaxed attitude toward [modeling],” she says. “I appreciate that it takes me to new places and you get to dress up and wear beautiful things and live in a little bit of a fairy tale for a day.”

The blonde also shares her passion for fashion and modelling with fellow royal Lady Amelia Windsor. “I have a relaxed attitude toward [modeling],” she says. “I appreciate that it takes me to new places and you get to dress up and wear beautiful things and live in a little bit of a fairy tale for a day.”

And when she’s not busy with her charity work or posing up a storm, Kitty spends her time with her Italian partner Niccolo Barattieri di San Pietro.

She and the property tycoon, 44, enjoy holidaying together and posting wonderlust-inducing travel shots on Instagram.

Niccolò, who lives in South Kensington, London, is divorced and shares three children with his ex-wife Sofia.
