Australia is clearly hot on the list within the royal fold right now!
Lady Kitty Spencer, who is the niece of Princess Diana, touched down in Perth on Thursday morning – around the same time Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan boarded their flight from Dubbo to Melbourne.
But while the royals are certainly on friendly terms, it’s unlikely the British A-listers will cross paths.
While Meghan and Harry are in Australia for the first stop of their royal tour to countries including New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, Lady Kitty is in Perth to promote a very important cause.
This year, she was announced as an ambassador for Channel 7’s annual telethon, where she will attend the fundraising weekend from October 20- 21.
She was chosen for the event because of her dedication towards helping young people, which goes hand in hand with the work her aunt Princess Diana did.
The blonde it girl announced the news on Instagram, sharing a picture of herself with a toy cat along with the caption: “There’s a new kitty in town! Fat Cat is the adorable mascot for @telethon7, the television fundraiser helping sick children across the globe. In October, I’ll be joining him in Perth, Western Australia for this extraordinary 26-hour live television charity event.”

The Channel 7 telethon website stated the 27-year-old would “Ccntinue the legacy of her great aunt by helping raise money to change the lives of sick kids across our state”.
She will also host a tea party for the fundraising event, held at the Parmelia Hilton.
Kitty has proven her commitment to working with charities. She has also worked for Centrepoint, an organisation that supports the young homeless community that is also supported by Diana’s sons William and Harry.
The model and luxury brand management graduate caught global attention earlier this year when she attended the nuptials of Harry and Meghan in May.
Her chic green Dolce & Gabbana dress was the talk of the town as royal fans revelled in her style and similarities to her late-aunt.
The blonde beauty has spoken about the late Princess previously, telling Vanity Fair, “I was so young [when Diana was alive]. There are only a few memories, but special memories and happy memories, and I’m so lucky to have those.”
Kitty is no stranger to globe trotting, she arrived in Perth after a working holiday in Dubai, where she attended the launch of Bvlgari’s Fiorever line.
We’re excited to see more of Kitty in Australia as she promotes the telethon in Perth this weekend!
