As we edge closer to the date of King Charles III’s coronation, and more and more details are released, the anticipation for the crowning of a new king grows.
Currently the topic of most chatter is who is expected to perform at the coronation concert, with big names such as Ed Sheeran, Adele and Sir Elton John being thrown into the mix.
But one star who is confirmed to not be taking to the stage at the gig celebrating the new king is Australia’s own pop princess, Kylie Minogue.

(Image: Getty)A spokesman for the singer has explained that she won’t be appearing at the gig, that is going ahead on May 7, because she will not be in the country at the time.
But other sources, according to the The Mail on Sunday, say there is another reason behind Kylie turning down the performance.
A source told the publication that Kylie is worried her inclusion in the event wouldn’t go down well with some of her fellow Australians due to the growing Republican sentiment.
Republican campaigns for constitutional reform here in Australia have been ramping up following the death of Queen Elizabeth in September last year.
Following Kylie’s advisors negotiating with organisers of the event, it has been confirmed that the pop princess won’t be performing for the king.
(Image: Getty)The concert, that is without a confirmed a line up, will be held at Windsor Castle the day after the coronation on May 7, and broadcasted across the UK by the BBC.
Whilst without any set names as of yet, the palace has confirmed that ”global music icons” and ”contemporary stars” will be in attendance.
”The concert will see a world class orchestra play interpretations of musical favourites fronted by some of the world’s biggest entertainers, alongside performers from the world of dance,” Buckingham Palace revealed in a statement.
