His Royal Highness King Charles III is expecting a baby in the royal family, with Lady Tatiana Mountbatten announcing her pregnancy in June.
Lady Tatiana posted on her Instagram yesterday practically glowing when she celebrated her friend’s 30th birthday with a growing baby bump.
Giving up her work as a professional equestrian as she grows the heir to the Mountbatten title.
Who is Tatiana Mountbatten?
Tatiana Mountbatten is the eldest child of George Mountbatten, the 4th Marquess of Milford Haven.
She has a passion for horses just like the late Queen, studying under famous equestrian trainers Hasse Hoffamann, Klaus Balkenhol, Kyra Kyrklund, and currently under Charlotte Dujardin.
Lady Tatiana is still chasing her dreams during pregnancy, training to become a psychotherapist.
How is Lady Tatiana related to the King?
Tatiana is a distant cousin to King Charles III due to their fathers. As her great-grandfather George Mountbatten was an uncle of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, King Charles’s father.
The Mountbatten has ties to not only the British royal family, but also the now-defunct royal families in Germany and Russia. Due to her paternal ancestors Louis II, Grand Duke of Hesse and Nicholas I of Russia.
So although Lady Tatiana’s baby is low on the line of succession, he or her will still inherit multiple royal bloodlines and titles.
Plus Lady Tatiana’s stepbrother Harry Wentworth Stanley even married Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas!
Who did Tatiana Mountbatten marry?
Tatiana Mountbatten at age 32 got married to 30-year-old Alexander ‘Alick’ Dru at Winchester Cathedral last year.
Alick proposed on a ski trip to Sweden in January, where the couple reportedly celebrated with their royal friends, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
She looked just like a Princess at her wedding, wearing a tiara under her flowing poofy gown with sweet cap sleeves by British designer Suzanne.
Joining the Mountbatten’s with her husband’s great-grandfather, the 4th Earl of Carnarvon. Who was a leading politician during the time of Queen Victoria!
Lady Tatiana and Alexander Dru’s royal baby is expected at the latest in January 2024, estimating that she was three months pregnant when she posted the baby announcement in June.
