Kate will leave her husband Prince William and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte at home as she carries out a day of engagements in the European Kingdom on behalf of the British royal family.

Kate will begin her trip with a courtesy call to Dutch King Willem-Alexander at his royal residence, Villa Eikenhorst before heading to The Hague and Rotterdam where she will complete some official appointments.

Kate is often accompanied on her engagements with husband, Prince William.

A highlight for the 34-year-old will likely be her visit to the Mauritshuis art museum to see an art exhibition of Dutch Old Masters – the Duchess has a passion for art and is the patron of Britain’s National Portrait Gallery.

Kate will also host a round-table discussion on addiction, intervention, family and mental health with local research organisation, Trimbos at the official residence of Sir Geoffrey Adams, Britain’s ambassador to the Netherlands.

The one day tour will be packed and all eyes will be on the Duchess during her first solo official trip abroad after she couldn’t make her visit to Malta in 2014 due to morning sickness during her second pregnancy with Princess Charlotte.
