While Netflix’s Harry and Meghan scarcely touched on Prince William and Princess Kate, the abdicated family members were open to sharing their thoughts on the injustices within the palace.
“In this family, sometimes you are part of the problem rather than part of the solution. There is a huge level of unconscious bias,” Harry said when speaking about racism within the Royal Family.
Nevertheless, the woman of the hour, Meghan Markle, was able to share a small insight into her relationship with her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
From what we’ve seen publicly, the two have a somewhat strained relationship.
In her infamous interview with Oprah, Markle commented gave insight into their public feud where, as reported by tabloids, Meghan had made Kate cry prior to her wedding.

“No, no, the reverse happened. A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something pertaining—yes, the issue was correct about flower girl dresses, and it made me cry and it really hurt my feelings, and I thought in the context of everything else that was going on in those days leading to the wedding that it didn’t make sense to not be just doing what everyone else was doing, which was try to be supportive, knowing what was going on with my dad and whatnot,” she revealed in the Emmy-nominated interview.
“I don’t think it’s fair to her to get into the details of that because she apologized and I’ve forgiven her,” Meghan added.
Kate and Meghan’s last joint public appearance took place in mourning at the late Queen’s funeral.

Most recently, royal expert Neil Sean commented, “While [Meghan] was over here, staying in Windsor at their [Frogmore] cottage, she put out a request to the Princess of Wales, according to that good source, to appear on a forthcoming episode of Archetypes.”
It is said the family had not issued a response.
Following this theme of non-response, the Royal Family have been public in responding without response.

(Image: Netflix)Regarding their relationship, Meghan commented on her first meeting with the Prince and Princess of Wales in Episode Two of the series.
“I remember I was in ripped jeans, and I was barefoot. I was a hugger; I have always been a hugger. I didn’t realise that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits. I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside, carried through on the inside,” Meghan said.
“That there is a forward-facing way of being. And then you close the door, and you are like “Oh great. Okay, we can relax now.” But that formality carries through on both sides and that was surprising to me,” she continued.
Kate and Meghan’s relationship appears strained as of late.
(Image: Getty)Jennie Bond, the former BBC royal correspondent opened up to OK Magazine revealing that in 2023 the Prince and Princess of Wales have officially ‘closed their minds’ to the possibility of reconciling with Prince Harry and Meghan.
The Princess can forgive and forget but the correspondent thinks “Catherine has been hurt and insulted by things that Harry and Meghan have said, but she and William are a very strong team, and I suspect that, together, they’ve come to the conclusion that the rift with Harry cannot be fixed in the foreseeable future.”
