If there’s anyone who knows how to look incredible while still playing by all the rules, it’s Duchess Catherine.
Indeed as the stunning royal stepped out at Wimbledon to watch the second day of the prestigious tournament on July 2, it fast became clear that her stunning outfit was quite possibly her most aptly chosen yet.
Just like the renowned players dress-code of the tournament, the Duchess of Cambridge blended into her surroundings in the most chic way possible by wearing a stunning white shirt dress from London based-boutique Suzannah.
Falling mid-calf-length and accessorised with a stylish Alexander McQueen belt at her waist, the royal’s frock was all kinds of sporty-chic – and we want this dress in our wardrobes immediately!
While there’s no official dress code for guests attending Wimbledon, no outfit of Kate’s is ever an afterthought, so we tend to think the stark colour choice is a suitable nod to the talented sportsmen and sportswomen who were competing on the day!
Being the Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet club, Kate’s visit to the tournament was fitting for that reason alone, not that we were expecting it.
Indeed her intention to attend the event was announced barely an hour before she made her grand arrival – so it was all the more thrilling to see her make an appearance.
At the event, Duchess Catherine gave a nod to the historic tournament by wearing a small purple and green bow adorned on her dress – Wimbledon’s official colours.
The mum-of-three, who is 37 years old, attended the match of 22-year-old Harriet Dart of the UK.
Imagine Harriet’s joy – firstly being able to compete at Wimbledon alone, and secondly being watched by Her Royal Highness!
Here’s hoping the special guest in the stands didn’t put out Harriet’s serve!
Later in the day, Kate paid a visit to centre court, where she watched Angelique Kerber battle it out against Tatjana Maria in the first round of the ladies singles.
Sitting in the royal box, the Duchess put on an animated display as she watched the tense game unfold.
And in another exciting reveal, Kate and William’s official Instagram page Kensington Royal shared a sneaky photo of they Duchess from behind the scenes on day two.
Revealing that the Duchess had met a very renowned British tennis player, fans revelled over this candid snap featuring Andy Murray!
Kate has attended Wimbledon in previous years, sometimes coming to watch the games play out on multiple days.
Last year, she famously attended with her sister-in-law Duchess Meghan, where the pair were spotted sharing a few laughs as they watched Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber.
Many hope to see another joint appearance from the sisters-in-law this year, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.
It is also expected that Kate’s sister Pippa and mum Carole will attend the tournament this year.
With the above in mind, stay tuned! We’ll be sure to have you covered on all the royal Wimbledon outings as they happen.
