Prince William and Duchess Catherine have made a rare joint appearance from their grand living room within the walls of their country home, Anmer Hall.
The pair, who are currently residing there as the UK’s strict lockdown continues, chatted to nursing students who are continuing to study and up-skill throughout the trying period.
In a clip released by Kensington Palace on Thursday morning, one of the students provides a video diary of a typical shift during her first placement as a student nurse.
She elaborated on some of the challenges she faced, as well as explaining the difficulties in helping patients unable to see their families.
For the call, Kate opted for a simple, yet chic look.
She wore her enviable tresses out and loose. Clothing-wise, she paired a simple black blazer with a white top underneath.
During the call, the pair also chatted to some second and third year nursing students who shared their experiences from the pandemic.
Many of them explained how they opted to extend their placements, which had begun before the first wave of the virus so they could continue to support those who needed care.
The royals also shared some lighter moments with the students, with both Kate and Wills proving they’re a true dream team with their effortless rapport they so easily make with those they meet.
Indeed, joint appearances from both Kate and William are few and far between, but when they do show face together, it’s always a spectacle. The way they bounce off each other and laugh together may as well be the equivalent of a PDA in royal terms, right?
Kate and William remain isolated in their family home Anmer Hall, located north of London in Norfolk.
The pair have stayed there for the majority of the last 12 months, with the location proving to be a solace amidst the uncertainty the pandemic has brought.
In 2021, we’ve seen more from the pair looking well set-up from their lounge, where they appear to have arranged a neat and homely looking working from home station.
In the background of the clip, it’s possible to make out some gorgeous pictures sitting pride of place on their mantelpiece, including a picture of Kate and her two-year-old son Louis as they explored the garden created by Kate for the Chelsea Flower Show back in 2019.
Yes, seeing the royals in this context really does remind us that they’re really not so different to the everyday person after all.
