Prince William and Kate Middleton are officially moving into unknown territory as they touch down in a country entirely new to both of them.
Indeed the pair made their grand arrival into Pakistan on Monday evening, and thus kicks off one of the most challenging (yet likely one of the most rewarding) royal tours we’ve seen in recent history.
Wearing a gorgeous traditional ensemble known as a shalwar kameez in a striking turquoise colour, Kate looked amazing as she and husband Prince William touched down at the Pakistani Air Force Base Nur Khan, in the city of Rawalpindi.
Her outfit was a bespoke creation by royal favourite Catherine Walker, and ever the glamour, Kate paired the look with cream heels by Rupert Sanderson Malory, and wore her hair out in loose waves.

The royals emerged from their private flight looking refreshed and ready for the whirlwind tour.
(Getty)The pair met with Britain’s High Commissioner to Pakistan as well as some local officials as they officially kicked off the four-day tour.
It is understood Kate and Wills flew to Pakistan via a private aircraft with their entourage of 14 people, including their communications secretary Christian Jones, along with their private secretaries Catherine Quinn and Simon Case.
Jones said in an official statement: “This is the most complex tour undertaken by the Duke and Duchess to date, given the logistical and security considerations.”
And there’s no denying it – the royal tour will be one of the family’s most security conscious tours yet, with details of the pair’s various engagements being released on a day by day basis.

(Getty)The pair’s four-day tour will cover a lot of ground by the looks of things, with visits expected to take place across the country’s capital Islamabad, the vibrant city of Lahore, heading to the countryside in the north and squeezing in a visit to the border regions of the west, according to HELLO!.
Earlier this month, the pair paid a pre-tour visit to London’s Aga Khan Centre.
During the engagement, Kate opted to wear a stunning green cocktail dress by ARoss Girl, which she paired with green heels and a sash.
The outfit’s colour palette was assumed to be a sweet nod to Pakistan’s flag.

(Getty)This royal tour marks the first to the country since 2006, when Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla visited.
Queen Elizabeth also visited the country in 1961, as well as Princess Diana who visited in 1991.
It will no doubt be incredible to see William and Catherine follow in the People’s Princess’s footsteps over the coming days.
