He may be a bit too young to sit in the royal box, but Prince Louis was not forgotten at this year’s Wimbledon tournament.
As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took their seats at the Men’s Singles Grand Final, Duchess Catherine was gifted with a little present for her youngest child by one of America’s finest tennis players.
Former tennis world champion Stan Smith was snapped handing the Duchess of Cambridge a pair of tiny white tennis shoes with “Prince Louis” emblazoned across them in gold that had also been signed by the tennis star himself.
This time 47 years ago, Stan was crowned winner at Wimbledon and was welcomed into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1987.
We can already imagine the cheeky royal running around Kensington Palace in his new kicks!

(Image: Getty Images)Prince Louis may not be big enough to swing a tennis racket at this stage, but his older brother George was lucky enough to score a personal tennis lesson from Grand Slam champ Roger Federer.
The eldest Cambridge child practised his swing at his maternal grandparents’ home in Bucklebury, Berkshire and according to Fed, George has “good tennis technique”.
Speaking about his royal student, the Swiss tennis star said, “At that stage it’s all about just touch the ball, it’s already good. Same with my boys. I think I have a little advantage that I actually spent some time, you know, with him.”

They weren’t the only famous faces in the crowd, the Duchess of Cambridge’s mother Carole Middleton, sister Pippa, brother James and his girlfriend Alizee Thevenet were also in attendance.
As Patron of The All England Lawn Tennis Club, this was the royal mother-of-three’s third visit to the tournament this year.

The Duchess of Cambridge, a keen tennis lover herself, watched 22 year-old UK up-and-comer Harriet Dart on day two and was joined by Duchess Meghan and sister Pippa for the women’s singles finals.
Royal sisters-in-law Catherine and Meghan were spotted chatting animatedly together, but after the match, Duchess Meghan appeared to leave the premises (likely to get back to baby Archie!), while the Middleton sisters stayed back to watch the men’s doubles final.
