Duchess Catherine has starred in a candid new video released by the Palace, to promote her latest parenting project.
Kate has launched a survey aimed at parents across the UK, which she hopes will help authorities, experts and charities collate data and stories to help “create a national conversation and bring about positive, lasting change for generations to come.”
The Duchess has carried out several official royal engagements over the past few weeks in Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and England, meeting families, children, charities and experts in order to promote The Big Five Questions survey, which is currently live online.
And on Tuesday, Kate, 38, starred in a brand new video encouraging UK parents to participate in the survey.
The mother-of-three looked radiant and low-key as she directly addressed royal fans down the lens of the camera, in a passionate video plea.
“Parents, families and carers are at the heart of raising the next generation and that’s why I felt so passionate about listening to them,” Kate said.
“And listening to your thoughts and your views on how best we can support you going forward. That’s why I’ve launched The Five Big Questions, to hear from as many people from society as possible.”
She added: “We visited, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and England to hear your experiences. I’m really pleased that over 200,00 people have already filled in the survey but it’s not too late to have your say.”
The clip was shared on the Cambridge family’s official Kensington Royal social channels and has been viewed two million times.
In a caption alongside the video, the royals encouraged fans to “have your say in the biggest ever conversation on early childhood.”
“It takes just 5 minutes ⏱️ to answer five simple questions, and help bring about positive, lasting change for generations to come,” it read.
“The survey designed to bring together the thoughts of as many people as possible — recognising that everyone has a role in ensuring strong, healthy foundations for the youngest in our society that will positively affect their lifelong outcomes.”
The survey is also expected to further inform Kate’s own work within the Royal Foundation, which is entrenched in helping children to become equipped with the best foundations to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
Kate recently took part her first podcast, Happy Mum, Happy Baby, which delves into the world of parenting with host and author Giovanna Fletcher.
Speaking openly on the podcast, Kate revealed a few home truths about the realities of becoming a new mum whilst being one of the most watched people in the world.
“Everyone had been so supportive [about her pregnancy with Prince George] and both William and I were really conscious that this was something that everyone was excited about and, you know, we’re hugely grateful for the support that the public had shown us,” the royal mum explained.
Because of this, the couple wanted to share that “joy and appreciation with the public”.
“I felt [it] was really important. But equally it was coupled with a newborn baby, and inexperienced parents, and the uncertainty of what that held, so there were all sorts of mixed emotions,” she continued.
While she looked completely calm and natural, Kate revealed that the official photocall on the steps of the Lindo Wing just hours after Prince George’s birth in 2013 was “terrifying, slightly terrifying, I’m not going to lie”.

And it wasn’t just the hundreds of camera flashes the new mum was focused on, either.
The night before, Kate admitted that she’d had a difficult time coming to terms with everything.
“I remember it was one of the hottest days and night with huge thunderstorms so I didn’t get a huge amount of sleep, but George did, which was really great,” she told Giovanna.
“I was also sort of relieved that he was a happy, healthy boy.”
But as the photo call took place, there was only one thing Kate truly wanted to do: “I was really desperate to get home and get back to normality.”
Kate also admitted that the first time parents had a few struggles along the way – including sussing out how to secure the baby car seat.
“We were like ‘What do we do?… in a swaddle?’ ‘How’s this supposed to work?’,” Kate candidly said.
“We’d even tried to practice with a little baby, like a little doll, at home but you know it just never works out the way you planned it so it was quite hard to do that on the world’s stage.”
We love how open and honest Kate is!
