Duchess Catherine and Prince William have been busier than ever since they came out of the UK’s first lockdown.
As the country has gradually moved towards a new socially distant normal, the Duke and Duchess have moved right along with them, tentatively attending in-person events while abiding by the new government guidelines.
But there is still times when a Zoom call is the best option.
Catherine and William have become Zoom experts during Covid-19.
(Kensington Royal)The Palace have shared a new video of the couple taking part in a Zoom call with some Aussies.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge heard from local business owners and first responders from Kangaroo Island, a small community off the south of Australia, who were impacted by devastating bushfires earlier this year,” the Palace said.
The caption continued: “Not only have they had to rebuild their lives from the wildfires, but they also had to manage to the spread of COVID-19, which has hugely impacted their desire get back to a normal life.
“The bushfires caused significant damage to residents’ homes, livelihoods, along with thousands of animals and their habitats.
“Its residents, joined by our friend Grace 🐨, have shown an incredible community spirit and continue to provide support to those in need.”
In the touching video, Kate and Wills meet a cute koala, named Grace, who lives at a wildlife park after being hit by a car.
“She looks very well looked-after, I have to say,” William quipped as Catherine cooed next to him.
“Grace looks like she has a very nice life there.”
The Duke and Duchess were smitten with Grace the koala.
(Kensington Royal)William also added a lovely anecdote about Australia, and its resilience in the face of challenge.
“Aussies are very good at looking out for each other and it’s fantastic to see that you’re all pulling together,” he told workers from the wildlife zoo,” he said.
William and Kate were impressed with that uncanny Aussie spirit.
(Kensington Royal)For the special video appearance, Kate looked radiant as always, this time wearing a fitted yellow short-sleeved dress. The sunshine hue of the dress seemed rather fitting given its synonymy with Australia.
She kept her makeup minimal and wore her hair in its loose signature waves.
Kate’s quickly become a Zoom call pro alongside her husband Prince William.
