Duchess Catherine and Prince William have stepped out together on a rainy day in London to attend a Holocaust Memorial Day Commemorative Ceremony.
Stepping out in Westminster on Monday, January 27, the Duke and Duchess paid their respects alongside some of the UK’s politicians and civic leaders.
Kate looked beautiful in a grey Catherine Walker coat, the very same style she wore last year while visiting Kings College alongside the Queen herself.
Considering she’s previously worn the dress for an event with Her Majesty, we’re guessing this is a particularly special garment rolled out for only the most important engagements.
The Duchess wore her hair in a half-up-half-down style, and accessorised with a pair of glittering silver earrings.
During the poignant event, Prince William shared an emotional speech, where he referenced his great-grandmother Princess Alice.
Kate and Wills then helped survivors on-stage to light six candles – these were then shared to light 75 candles which marked the 75th anniversary since the liberation of Auschwitz.
Earlier in the day, the Palace also revealed Kate’s incredible new photography project – the Duchess took beautful pictures of two Holocaust survivors with their grandchildren.
Kate photographed Steven Frank with his granddaughters, Maggie and Trixie, and in a second portrait, Kate snapped Yvonne Bernstein with her granddaughter, Chloe.
“I wanted to make the portraits deeply personal to Yvonne and Steven – a celebration of family and the life that they have built since they both arrived in Britain in the 1940s,” Kate said in a statement.

To mark the incredible moment, the Palace also shared some beautiful behind the scenes images of Kate from the day of the shoot.
In the sweet pictures, Kate is seen alongside her subjects laughing and chatting to them.
Speaking of the two survivors she spoke to, Kate elaborated in the statement: “They look back on their experiences with sadness but also with gratitude that they were some of the lucky few to make it through. Their stories will stay with me forever.”
