Duchess Catherine has officially joined Prince William as he tours Scotland – their first tour outside England in five months.
While William got started with the activities and festivities over the weekend, Monday marked Catherine’s first day on the job – and boy did she make it a good one.
On Monday, the pair visited a local organisation helping people overcome troubling circumstances – The Scottish Violence Reduction Unit.
The Duke and Duchess heard stories about the organisation’s work to help those facing issues around violence and addiction.
While there, Duchess Catherine was particularly taken with one therapeutic section of the unit – a DJ deck.
Shooting her shot, Kate gave one button a big plonk with her finger in an attempt to create a decent tune.
Unexpectedly (or should we have expected it?), the plan backfired spectacularly, with Kate desperately asking the staff to “delete it, delete it!”
William wasn’t so impressed by his wife’s music either, telling staff, “Please turn that off, it’s hurting my ears”.
Sharing the hilarious clip to Instagram, the Palace cheekily wrote: “Can rule out a music career.”

For the day’s events, Duchess Catherine wore a beautiful Royal Blue blazer by Zara with a matching blue pleated skirt by Hope.
The outfit was curiously familiar to some, who remembered Princess Diana wearing a rather similar blue design back in 1992.
The tour is a particularly special one for the pair – Scotland holds an important place in William’s heart because it was where he resided in the heartbreaking days following his mother Diana’s death.
It was also where he later met his now wife Duchess Catherine.
It’s clear that the pair have now found happiness with each other – not to mention many, many laughs in between – and Diana is never far away.
