The Duchess of Cambridge has paid tribute once again to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana by wearing a gorgeous pair of pearl earrings in a surprise appearance at a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
The accessories were gifted to Diana, the Princess of Wales, upon her wedding to Prince Charles in 1981 and were first worn just a month before her nuptials.
Duchess Catherine first wore the beautiful earrings in 2017 for a Spanish state banquet, and this time, chose to pair them with a stunning blush pink Alexander McQueen coat dress with a matching Juliette Botterill hat.
Her nude suede pumps were designed by Gianvito Rossi and a clutch by Loeffler Randall finished the look.
Joining the Queen and her husband, Prince William, for their first garden party for the season, the lawn festivities are an annual event which started in the 1860s by Queen Victoria and are a way of recognising and rewarding public service.
The Queen, forever the festive monarch, wore a powder blue Stuart Parvin coat with a floral silk dress in shades of pink, powder blue and taupe, topped off with a hat by Rachel Trevor Morgan.
Last week, Buckingham Palace threw its first summer bash, with thousands of guests in attendance.
And in what might be her most glamorous look of the year yet, Duchess Camilla stood out in a striking white dress, dazzling onlookers and proving she’s well and truly nailing the fashion stakes.
With her husband Prince Charles playing host for the event on behalf of Queen Elizabeth, the tricksy twosome were all smiles as they mingled with guests and shared plenty of animated conversations.
Wearing a stunning white Bruce Oldfield dress along with a feathered hat by royal favourite designer Philip Treacy, Camilla kicked off summer in true style.
Guests in attendance at the event were thrilled with how it went – and we can’t blame them, it’s a prime opportunity to dress up in their summer best.
Also expected to be in attendance for further events this year are Princess Beatrice and Eugenie.
